In a recent interview, the global star admitted that he had a grave dug in his garden to prepare for the afterlife.
The star and father of two daughters cleared up rumors that he had built a crypt, rubbished the claims and explained what really goes on on his property.
He chatted with GQ Magazine when the topic of death came up, whereupon Ed explained the key details.
The hitmaker told the publication: “I wouldn’t say it’s a crypt.” It’s a hole dug into the ground with a piece of stone lying over it. So when the day comes and I die, I can go in.
“People think it’s really strange and really morbid, but I’ve had friends die without a will and no one knows what to do.”
He further clarified that what everyone thought was an underground burial site was actually a chapel.
The star explained that many people who died in his life were cremated and so he wanted a place where he could go and mourn them.
